Pow Wow is a gathering of Indigenous people across North America. It is an event for attendants to experience Indigenous culture through music, dancing, food, and fun activities. 

At the beginning of every HDSB public meeting, land acknowledgment is read to express our appreciation to those whose land we reside on and honour the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land for thousands of years.
